The GIS girl is an initiative focused on empowering girls and young women with GIS/geospatial/geography knowledge and skill to increase awareness and promote diversity in the geospatial industry.

To help us achieve this, we have two main pillars:

• Training: A distance-learning academy where university students and early-career professionals are taught in-demand technical and non-technical skills that are relevant to the workplace. Our training curriculum is tailored to suit the realities of changing ecosystem.
• Support: Through sensitization and the provision of learning materials, we provide support to early and high school children that creates an interest and curiosity about geography and potential career possibilities in geospatial.
